Electrical Engineer - Marlborough, Massachusetts

 Job Description:

  • Prepare engineering documents for review by Senior and/or Professional Engineers.
  • Design electrical systems in accordance with local, state and federal codes and standards including but not limited to:
      • 780 CMR
      • IEEE
      • NFPA
      • NEC
      • OSHA
  • Create written specifications for electrical installations.
  • Draft documents using AutoCAD LT.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports pertaining to electrical systems evaluations and due diligence studies.
  • Assist in site assessments including the evaluation of electrical systems and use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling software.
  • Assist in short circuit, device coordination and arc flash studies, using EasyPower software.
  • Provide project management support for engineering and construction projects.
Requirements:

  • 3 – 7 years with Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 years minimum AutoCAD experience including layer management and model/paper space proficiency.
  • Demonstrate experience in the design and layout of low-voltage power distribution systems, electrical load calculations, fault current calculations and control systems design.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the application of the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).
  • Demonstrate experience in the design and application of mission critical systems (UPS, Standby Power, etc.).
