Data Center Assessment - Level Two
An Intermediate Assessment of your Data Center's Power & Cooling Infrastructure
Our intermediate data center or server room assessment offers a more broad service than the level one health check. This assessment will provide room scale power and cooling capacity and utilization information, as well as rack level cooling analysis using airflow management and infrared thermal imaging.
The level two data center assessment is non-invasive (typically performed during normal business hours). During this assessment, Electronic Environments will:
- Note the general conditions of your data center or server room's physical infrastructure including: Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRAC), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and the power distribution infrastructure
- Measure areas of excessive temperatures
- Measure humidity
- Measure CRAC supply & return temperatures
- Review of maintenance procedures and practices
- Perform an infrared scan of racks for high temperatures
- Perform an infrared scan of the room for temperature anomalies
- Inspect the subfloor and ceiling plenum (where applicable)

The Deliverables from the Level Two Data Center or Server Room Assessment
Electronic Environments will deliver a comprehensive written report of all findings from the assessment that includes:
- Power, cooling and space utilization analysis
- Comprehensive report of power / cooling / space analysis based on nominal capacities and displayed load from UPS or PDUs
- Infrared images indicating rack locations with excessively high temperatures
- Recommendations for problem resolution
- Three hard copies and one soft copy of the report

Level Three Comprehensive Data Centers Assessment - A detailed power and cooling analysis based on measured electrical distribution load readings at the rack level.
