Our mission is to provide specialized facility management services such as engineering and construction services, guaranteed data center energy efficiency and cooling solutions and 24x7 preventive maintenance services , while staying focused on delivering cost effective solutions to manage the physical infrastructure surrounding your mission critical 24x7 data center and telecommunication operations.
In 1986, Electronic Environments Corporation (EEC) was incorporated in Massachusetts as a niche based design, construction and service company focused solely on the technical infrastructure supporting Data Center and Telecommunication operations. Ken Rapoport, CEO of Electronic Environments, started the company with 3 employees and has since grown it to150 employees nationally. We are currently headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with offices located throughout the United States. Electronic Environments saw a steady growth in the late 80’s and early 90’s with the explosion of the dot com era, and was named one of Massachusetts 100 fastest growing companies in 1990, by Inc. Magazine. As our customer base grew so did our organization. By the mid 90’s EEC began to expand, we started by opening an office in the Pennsylvania area which became the foundation of our operation in the Mid Atlantic region and now have offices located throughout the United States. The convergence of data, voice and video availability anytime, anywhere…drove an exponential explosion of data center and telecom infrastructure construction. EEC received a lot of engineering and construction work during this time, which helped to fuel our growth, especially in the New England market. New telecom companies began everyday, each with the requirement for a nationwide footprint of key central offices. Outside plant infrastructure multiplied to enable companies to offer high speed internet connections, or simply eliminate the barriers to the “last mile”. As the wireless companies expanded their footprint EEC began its national expansion. Our regional offices were opened to support our growing service base. As more and more clients came on board with a national presence, EEC’s expansion began to mirror the footprint of our customer base. When economic conditions forced a dip in new construction, EEC’s service side of the business rebounded with a vengeance. In 2001, the infrastructure business returned to its origins, but with a higher level of expectations. EEC has responded with web-enabled infrastructure tools (Infrastructure Manager ) - for on-demand asset management and predictive maintenance. We have built training centers to increase the knowledge of our personnel as well as train our customers. We have recently built a state-of-the-art national dispatch center with the types of integrated systems (GPS, real-time call logging, and projection screens) needed to provide the highest level of response and service to our clients. Among its competitors EEC was one of the first companies to initiate wireless electronic data acquisition tools for our field personnel to increase the quality of service, speed the diagnostic reviews, and deliver more service for less cost. Electronic Environments is a grounded, financially mature company with close to 25 years of experience and focus on servicing mission critical facilities. Because our extensive customer base spans many industries, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, EEC has been able to grow and maintain a stable business, one reason for EEC’s stability is we have been able to maintain a 98% customer retention rate as it relates to elements within EEC’s control like quality, price, or service. At EEC we believe people do business with people not companies; we only hire and retain employees and service partners who demonstrate they are willing to work by moral business standards and under the guidelines set by local, state, and federal regulations. Safety must be a forethought not an afterthought, and delivering reliable, quality, cost effective service is a requirement that must be met. |
