EEC Introduces battery trending with its web-based asset manager at Data Center World Expo

Clients increase uptime thru automatic predictive maintenance of their batteries.

MARLBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS – March 25, 2008 – Trending analysis further enhances Electronic Environments Corporation’s (EEC) web-based site and asset manager, EEC Infrastructure Manager ™ (EEC IM).   EEC’s newest version of EEC IM includes battery trending on both sealed and wet cell batteries.  The system automatically records, graphs, and compares battery readings against manufacturer recommended minimum and maximum tolerance levels.  When readings are outside recommended manufacturer tolerances, the system automatically generates an email to EEC’s Field Service Group.  The system allows EEC’s engineers to identify problems, and recommend corrective actions, prior to battery failure; eliminating Client downtime.

Voltage, impedance and conductance, specific gravity, ripple current, and temperature are tracked and trended through the system.  After the readings are taken, EEC’s Field Service Technicians upload the information to a centralized database, via their wireless laptops Technician Toolkit™.  Once uploaded, service call information populates EEC Infrastructure Manager and EEC’s customers have instant access to site information, equipment readings, hazardous waste disposal, and much more.  Kenneth Rapoport CEO of EEC stated, “Trending analysis is a terrific new feature within Infrastructure Manager, and we are excited that we can provide our clients with yet another service that greatly enhances our ability to keep their operations running 24 x 7 .   As we strive to enhance the level and quality of service we provide; we will continue to look for ways to automate our offerings, so greater efficiencies and saving can be passed along to our clients.”

Electronic Environments Corporation (EEC), founded in 1986, is headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts.   EEC’s specialized facility management services focus on the power and cooling needs (UPS, Batteries, DC Power, HVAC, Standby Generation) of 24 x 7 IT and Telecom mission critical facilities.   EEC’s solutions offer clients a single source for fully integrated design, engineering, construction, and maintenance services.  EEC has offices located throughout the U.S.   http://www.eecnet.com
